Determined to Succeed does not only focus on young people and enterprising approaches to learning, but aims to embed enterprising approaches to teaching. This is one of the cornerstones of Scotland’s new curriculum - Curriculum for Excellence. The Excellence in Education through Business Links (EEBL) programme provides industrial placements for teachers to gain professional development in a business setting, helping them to contextualise what they teach our children into real world, real life situations.
Employers also benefit by being able to draw on the expertise and perspective of a teacher and gain experience of the world of education.
If you would like to offer a teacher (or two!) the opportunity of an EEBL placement, or simply wish to learn more about the programme, then please contact Alison Mitchell, East Renfrewshire Council’s Education Development Officer responsible for Determined to Succeed on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
