Our next Masterclass entitled “Global Strategies for Local Business” will feature Alex Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of Clyde Process Solutions, part of the Clyde Blower group of companies, on 25 February 2010 at Parklands Country Club, Newton Mearns at 6.00pm for 6.30pm.

Alex was appointed Chief Executive of Clyde Process Solutions in July 2006. He is responsible for developing the Group's global performance through its market-driven and customer-centric approach across its key markets. Alex holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Glasgow University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He received the Scottish Finance Director of the Year award in 2003.

Clyde Process Solutions is primarily involved with the design and implementation of value-adding, energy efficient solutions, which are used to handle the raw materials required to product commodities such as metals, cement, chemicals and ethanol.

With offices in Brazil, China, USA and the UK and trading in over thirty countries Alex will be looking at the lessons learned from operating in a global market and at lessons from his career.

This masterclass is like no other we have done, as we have invited members from Ayrshire and Lanarkshire Chambers to also take part, considerably extending the opportunity for members to network. However, despite this we have managed to keep this Masterclass free to all members.
