The East Ren Chamber of Commerce has actively been encouraging young people to consider business as an opportunity once they have left education. Following the example led by board director Nick Cohen, who started his own business at the age of 13. On June 14th 2010, Nick arranged an enterprise event titled 'the £100K challenge' that brought together 56 pupils from local schools together with 12 business people from the local community, including board member Sandra Connelly. Throughout the day, the pupils were competiting in a challenge to win £100K (fictional) investment from four business judges, including lead judge, Vincent Waters, President of the Chamber. The chamber is hoping to run the event for students next year.
