East Renfrewshire Council have launched the Online Trading Network which will allow companies to register their services on the Council’s intranet which will be used by the Council’s officers to obtain quotations for contracts in the range between £1,000 and £25,000. There is a considerable volume of business in this category and this is often an area of particular interest to SMEs and local companies who perhaps don’t have the resources to bid for larger contracts.
All orders in excess of £25,000 will continue to be subject to the Council’s formal tendering procedures. To register your business please visit www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/suppliersignup. ERCC welcomes this initiative which was first raised at a joint Chamber/Council business event last year.
