Local School pupils are collectively fundraising for a charity venture to Malawi this October. The pupils will be involved in manual work to improve education and health care, principally focused on a school in Dambo Village, in the Kaponda Region. The charity’s aim is to give the children of Kaponda a helping hand, lifting them out of abject poverty, allowing them to stand upon their own two feet and live out healthier, happier, more self-sufficient futures. Fundraising for this has commenced and includes a Family Fun Race Night as detailed below.
Requesting Business Support for Forthcoming Family Fun Race Night
The reason for contacting you is to ask if your business would help us and support the forthcoming race night to assist in raising funds. The race night will be held in the Columba Club, Barrhead on Friday, 24th August 2018.
All costs are being covered by individuals (parents, family & friends) and through business donations so that this charity venture will receive 100% of all monies raised on the night.
Can You Help?
There are several ways that businesses can support this event, through donations. For a donation (minimum £20) one of the horseraces can be named after your company and if you wish your logo to be included, we can put this on the programme also. Alternatively, a prize could be donated for the winning horse (eg, a bottle of spirit, gift voucher etc) and/or donations for the raffle.
There are 8 horses in each race and each horse will have individual sponsors (£5), who names their horse, with the sponsor of the winning horse receiving a prize, so another alternative could be; to sponsor 8 horses on behalf of 8 of your staff members, so that a member of your staff is guaranteed to win a prize.
Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact Alan Kirk wood at George Leslie on 0141 8819131 if you are able to support.
