East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce launched their annual programme of events on 19th September 2017 with the ‘Supply Chain Showcase’. This event aimed to link our members into information and the relevant contacts for current and forthcoming tenders and contracts in and around the area.
As an active Primary Contractor with projects in the area, CCG Scotland Construction and Manufacturing Group gave a comprehensive overview of their company, projects, approved supplier list and process of application by their Estimating Manager. Their application form and the contact name and email address are available on the Tenders and Contracts area of the members hub.
Community Benefits officer for East Renfrewshire Council talked about the need for major projects to involve the supply chain and the pipeline of major projects, their tender dates and who has been awarded them and start dates will appear on the members hub, on the ERC Pipeline page.
Locally based Complete Cleaning Services are a supply chain success story and employ over 450 staff nationally. They talked about their experience of winning contracts and tenders and how the SME’s in the audience could apply this to their own endeavours.
In our newly developed strategy for the next 3-5 years East Ren Chamber will act as the conduit between the incoming contractors and house builders attracted by the master development plans, and the local supply chain seeking to win business. Together with their supply chain requirements and that of the Local Authority to deliver Regional City Deal, we are ideally suited to be a hub for the information on which tenders and contracts are in the pipeline, when and who they are awarded to and the Approved Supplier Lists available to supply the works.
Members have exclusive access to all this information on our new web hub, where they can login to discover:
– East Renfrewshire Council’s Contracts Plan and Project Pipeline including tender dates, awards and works commencement dates
– Primary Contractor/ House Builder Supply projects and Approved Supplier Lists and contact details.
– Enterprise support available in the area including local grants, employability support, Business Gateway provision, plus more
The ERCC members database will be central to this as will proactively encourage its use for quick quotes, projects updates, Approved Supplier lists and more. If you are a member please ensure your company sector and description is up to date. Click here to see how to login and update your details.
Our next event will be on 25th Oct with George Leslie as the speaker. If you would like to attend please go to the event page. Interested in a 5 minute members slot? Let us know.
